Celebrate!

On Thursday June 8th at 1:00 PM, we were delighted to celebrate our formal Ribbon Cutting Ceremony! Here are our welcoming remarks from that wonderful afternoon:

“Good afternoon! I am Lynn Motley, the designated spokesperson today for Huntsville Psychotherapy & Counseling Services.

I want to thank the Chamber of Commerce of Huntsville/Madison County, all the Chamber staff and volunteers, Commissioner Phil Riddick, and our colleagues, friends and family who are here today.

We are honored that you have taken time out of your very busy schedule to come here today, in support of our work and to share the excitement of our ribbon cutting ceremony. Your presence is truly humbling. We are so thankful for you.

About nine months ago, a group of like-minded colleagues began talking together about the kind of mental health practice we would like to develop.  And now today we are all here working together to honor the commitment we made to each other and to our community.

We are a diverse group of professionals with a variety of skills and treatment approaches. We are proud of our diversity because we believe it makes us stronger. And we want to continue to build a practice that honors the uniqueness of every individual. Our mission is to encourage and support the emotional and behavioral well-being of each person who comes through our doors. That includes each of us, all of our building mates, our clients, and all of you.

We all know that there can be daunting hardships and exhilarating highs in any persons’ life. We are privileged to help those who are struggling with those hardships and then celebrate with them when they are ready to move on. And we are dedicated to service. It is who we are. Today is a day of gratitude for what we have accomplished thus far and for what we hope to achieve in the future. We honor and respect each of you. And we are committed to living and working in a manner that demonstrates our belief in the sacredness of each person’s life journey. Thank you for being here to celebrate with us. Thank you for your support on our journey as we seek to support others in their journey.”
